Podcast – guest Cartwright #4

August 10, 2017 2 Comments Written by Richard Munchkin

This week’s guest is Cartwright. We discuss the blackjack games in CO which had a new side bet called 21 Magic.  Cartwright did the analysis of this bet, and then with a partner named Spence, crushed the games. In addition we talk a little bit about credit card churning in the second half of the show.

So I couldn’t quite understand the math. He played with a 3.50 advantage on the combination of his bets of $200. But he had a 1,000 an hour advantage. So he played 285 hands an hour?!

First, keep in mind I was using rough numbers…

    $100/hand * 7% * 4 hands = $28/round. $1000/hour ÷ $28/round ≈ 36 rounds/hr.

I wasn’t playing that slow, but factor in tokes and not always betting 4 hands, and I’d say that hourly EV estimate is about right.
